Jason Issokson joins the San Francisco Symphony as Associate Concertmaster, holding the San Francisco Symphony Foundation Chair, for the 2025–26 season. He has been a member of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra since 2019. Concerto highlights include performances with the Fort Worth Symphony, Aspen Concert Orchestra, Waco Symphony, Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra, East Texas Symphony Orchestra, Great Falls Symphony, Abilene Philharmonic, Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra di Teatro San Carlo, and Orchestra Internazionale d’Italia.
A dedicated chamber musician, Issokson was a founding member of the Argus Quartet and later served as second violinist of the Rolston String Quartet, performing extensively at major venues and festivals across North America and Europe.
His awards include top prizes at the International Violin Competition “Andrea Postacchini,” third prize at the International Alberto Curci Violin Competition, and the award for best performance of a commissioned work at the International Max Rostal Competition, along with first prizes at the M-Prize Chamber Arts Competition and Concert Artists Guild Competition.
He performs on the 1698 “ex-Thoulow” Stradivari violin, on generous loan from the San Francisco Symphony.
