Founded just a year ago, Aeternum has quickly established itself as one of the most promising new professional vocal ensembles in the United States.
Under the direction of Bailey Cooke, the group unites exceptional singers from both the U.S. and the U.K., blending their distinct choral traditions. Aeternum’s artistic vision centers on programs that span musical eras—from medieval chant to contemporary works.
Aeternum’s recent sold-out concert series, Centuries of Sound, took audiences on a journey through time, featuring works by Hildegard von Bingen, William Byrd, Eric Whitacre, and others. The program showcased the ensemble’s versatility and its dedication to performing music that bridges centuries and styles.
Beyond performing, Aeternum is deeply engaged in music education and community outreach. The group has collaborated with Bay Area high schools, hosted workshops with Festival Napa Valley, and continues to support and bring awareness to youth choral programs and surrounding community choirs throughout the region.
