A San Francisco native, Jeff was born into a family of musicians and began his musical journey on piano and drums before choosing the guitar as his primary instrument. In 1983 he spent a year in France and was offered the guitar chair in a blues/jazz band that performed across Europe. He ended up living in France for 20 years. During this time Jeff was introduced to the music of Django Reinhardt and was drawn deeply into the world of gypsy swing, culminating in the formation of Duo Gadjo with his wife, Isabelle. Their first album, Meet Me in Paris, has garnered over 50 million spins on the Pandora platform. From 2005 to 2015 Jeff was a member of the much-revered Hot Club of San Francisco. He is the author of a gypsy-jazz instructional book published by Hal Leonard.
