Music in the Vineyards hosts its benefit gala "Sommerfest," on Saturday, Aug. 1 at the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena. In celebration of the festival's 21st season, the Viennese-inspired evening includes live music, dinner, an auction and dancing, like the Schubert-style concerts held in Austria in the 19th century. . .

Chamber music is probably not the first thing that springs to the minds of barrel-room visitors at Markham Vineyards in St. Helena.
