The Gail and Harry Adams
Resident Artists Fund

All proceeds go to the Harry and Gail Adams Resident Artists’ Fund. The purpose of all our fundraising is to bridge the 70% gap between ticket revenue and the actual costs of running a four-week annual festival. You can help us keep the standard of excellence high:

Resident Quartets: each week we feature an established quartet with a national reputation. To be competitive, need to be able to pay top dollar for musicians the caliber of tonight’s resident quartet—the Pacifica.

Soloists who are first chairs in major orchestras or members of noted quartets. Virtuosi like you heard tonight.

Something new: The Apprentice String Quartet. Nationwide competition to award a scholarship to a promising young quartet. They will be in residence three weeks of four and will allow us to expand our education and community outreach:
- More performances at Boys and Girls Clubs, throughout Napa County
- More performances at retirement homes and assisted living places.
- Performances at Veterans Home of California, Yountville
- Performances at non-traditional venues such as cafés and galleries.

$5,000            Pays half of a resident ensemble’s fee for one week
$2,500            Pays performance fee and transportation for one virtuoso
$1,000            Pays for one week of free performances in the community of the Apprentice String
Quartet OR moving our Steinway grand piano to one winery concert venue.
$500               Pays transportation for one musician
$250               Pays for a Spanish speaking presenter at each free community concert for a week of the
                     Apprentice Quartet.
$100               Pays for a coordinator to organize and transport the Apprentice String Quartet to
one performance. OR nearly covers the cost of one tuning of the piano. (each concert)
