DESCRIPTION:Beethoven’s string quartet Op. 74 was written against a backd
 rop of tremendous drama and upheaval in his personal life\, all while Vien
 na was under siege by Napoleon\, forcing Beethoven to hunker down in a bas
 ement to avoid the shelling. Responding to criticism of his three previous
  quartets\, Beethoven set out to win back supporters by making the quartet
  Op. 74 as ‘likeable’ as possible. Through stories and performance\, A
 rtistic Director Michael Adams and the Pavone Quartet will illustrate why 
 this quartet was an immediate success – and why it’s nicknamed “Harp
 ”.\n\nAudiences will have exclusive access to Faust's tank room for this
  private event.&nbsp\; Wine and appetizer reception to follow in the plaza
