AN EVENING WITH ELEANOR COPPOLA AT RUBICON*

*A joint benefit for Music in the Vineyards and The Napa Valley Writers’ Conference

Tuesday, June 3, 6:30 p.m. reception, 7:00 p.m. program--Rutherford--$40 per person

In this elegant, historic setting, award-winning documentary film maker, artist, wife and mother Eleanor  Coppola, reads from and speaks about her new memoir “Notes on a Life”.  Her book takes us into her very private life and reveals how she managed to reinforce her famous film-maker husband while holding on to her own innate creativity.  Book signing follows, along with wine and desserts created by Pastry Program students at the Napa Valley Cooking School.


AN AFTERNOON AT READS’ LEAP (SOLD OUT)

Friday, June 27, 11:30 a.m.--Stag’s Leap --$145 per person--14 guests

Mary and Steven Read welcome you to Reads’ Leap, their family home of 20 years, in the Stag’s Leap area.  Enjoy a tour of the park like gardens designed by Jack Chandler with plantings selected and placed by Mary Read.  The gardens are English in style and feature a large pond surrounded by grasses, as well as sculpture by several artists.  After a tour of the Read guest house, enjoy a three course al fresco luncheon accompanied by wines from the Stag’s Leap appellation as well as the Napa Valley Reserve.


EXCLUSIVE HILLSIDE HOME TOUR ON DIAMOND MOUNTAIN

Saturday, September 20, 3:00 p.m.--Diamond Mountain--$100 per person--20 guests

Caravan to three unique custom homes of special interest on Diamond Mountain.   Meet a kitchen designer and her husband, who literally “cook in the clouds” in the open kitchen at the heart of their mountaintop retreat.  Visit two architects who have designed their own homes, one for a growing family, sited in a terraced vineyard and constructed of Diamond Mountain fieldstone; the other Mexican Hacienda created for a wine country retirement.  At each home, you are treated to Diamond Mountain wines paired with appetizers.


CELEBRATE HARVEST ON GREENFIELD ROAD (SOLD OUT)

Sunday, October 19, 4:00 p.m.--St. Helena--$165 per person--12 guests

Valerie and Bob Peebles welcome you to their newly completed spectacular home overlooking Lake Hennessey. After you tour the property with Valerie, who is the home’s designer, gather in the music room to hear piano selections from the American Songbook.  Meet Greenfield Road neighbor, John Buehler, who will introduce you to his wines of uncommon complexity and depth, which have achieved 90 point scores from Wine Spectator.  A twilight supper follows, accompanied by Buehler Wines.
