Music in the Vineyards 19th Annual Festival | August 7th - 26th, 2013
This August, mark your calendar for the 19th season of
Music in the Vineyards, Napa Valley’s world renowned
chamber music festival. Hear twelve remarkable programs,
performed in unique winery settings where the music,
the ambience and the wine all share the stage.
Our concerts are presented at some of the Napa Valley’s
most storied wineries: The Hess Collection, Beringer, Markham,
Silverado, Robert Mondavi, Frog’s Leap, Clos Pegase, Freemark
Abbey and Black Stallion.
One of the centerpieces of our 19th season is a special event presented
in collaboration with the Napa Valley Museum: A fully-staged version of
Stravinsky’s “The Soldier’s Tale”, complete with actors, costumes and
scenery, in two performances at the Napa Valley Museum. Conceived as part
of a juried art show dealing with the Faust legend, the works will be on exhibit at
the Napa Valley Museum through October 2013.
40 outstanding musicians will once again bring world-class music to your
Napa Valley. Be prepared to buy tickets early, as once the word gets out
advance ticket sales are brisk! We hope to see you in August.
August is coming just around the corner. In the mean time, we encourage you to delight in a phenomenal performance at Silverado Vineyards during our 17th Festival, which was recorded by our friends at America's Music Festivals.
